I had to close my account becuase someone was stealing cash out of my account. I emailed the loan company saying that i would pay them soon as i can but my account was empty i had to close it. i didnt hear nothing from them so i thought it was ok. But today a lawyer called my job. i wasnt there yet but my boss told me. What actually can or cant they do to me?

I have been in NC for almost 2 years. I was told payday loans are illegal here. Does that apply to online loans, as well? I hadn’t needed their services, until recently. I had a car accident and need to meet my deductible. I have a slow pay credit history, which I am working on, so traditional methods of lending aren’t availiable to me. Any information would help.

2 weeks ago i took out a payday loan to be repaid on April 11th. I called today to request a reloan ( which is where i would just pay the interest and fees and reborrow). Unfortunatly I was told that they had made a mistake and had put today as my loan due date. They are now telling me all nsf fees, and late fees are my problem. How is this legal? I only authorized them to withdraw their money on april 11th. Should i not be reimbursed for my losses?
It was an online based loan company www.310loans.com. Based out of BC. I have used them before and it was usually good. But all they gave me was a verbal contract saying the loan would be due
